I’m pleased to introduce James Kopp, our National Director of Diocesan Accounts. Jim came to Cathedral after four years as executive director of development for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany.

So why did Jim want to start a blog? The world of diocesan appeals has changed dramatically. To be successful in this climate you need to be much more strategic and employ new methods. The good news is there are new ways of communicating and more advanced technologies for reaching donors and potential donors. Successful appeals will be tuned into donor lifestyles, priorities and interests that influence their financial decisions.

The Pew is a place for dialog about all these challenges, and Jim is here to help you leverage his fundraising experience at the diocesan level. He plans to discuss the issues you face and provide a platform for conversations that lead to great ideas and cost-effective solutions.
